This vintage hand-carved oystercatcher shorebird is a charming piece of New England folk art. Displaying the classic characteristics of traditional shorebird decoys, this piece features a carved split-tail and lifelike glass eyes.  While exhibiting the natural patina of age, the shorebird shows signs of wear consistent with its history, including paint rubbing, scuffing, scratching, dings, crazing, and minor imperfections. Glass eyes.  Please note that the included dowel stick and wood base are not original to the decoy and show signs of wear.
