Vintage New England Carver Ruddy Turnstone Working Shore Bird Decoy

Vintage Working Shorebird Hunting Decoy. Possibly a Ruddy Turnstone? I purchased this in the early 80's in Massachusetts near the cape. I have not been able to definitively identify the carver, will have to call it an "unknown carver" but it is reminiscent of shore bird decoys carved by Lincoln Crowell, Holms, Burr and other early New England carvers.  The decoy shows some damage where  pellets of lead shot struck the body (see photos) the lower splintered out piece is right where the dowel stand enters the body and is not noticeable when the bird is mounted except when viewed from directly below. A nice authentic shorebird decoy with some hunting damage but  displays nicely.
