VINTAGE MASON FACTORY HEN REDHEAD PREMIER GRADE DUCK DECOY ORIGINAL PAINT HOLLOW

Description

Up for auction is an excellent, hollow Premier Grade Redhead Hen made by the Mason factory, ca. 1915.   This decoy is in strong original paint.  The bird does show some wear from use including rubs the to the edges of the bill, top of the head and end of the tail. There is a very tight age check as well as some minor paint flaking on the back.  Those coveted painter’s brush swirls are still quite  evident as are the speculums and feather loop paint. The old glass eyes are good and original.  Tough to find a 100+ year old decoy is this kind of excellent condition.  Measures 14-1/4 long; 5-3/4” wide; and 6-3/4” tall.   Shipping includes insurance and is higher outside of the USA.  Thanks for looking.
