TONY KROLIKOWSKI GREEN WINGED TEAL DUCK DECOY PAIR UNUSED GREAT CARVING/PAINT

Description

Up for auction is an excellent, virtually mint par of Green-Winged Teal made by Tony Krolikowski of Harrison Township, Michigan.  Both carry his “TK” brand and “72” indicating the year they were made.  Krolikowski was a renowned master craftsman and woodcarver specializing in decorative decoys and waterfowl.  He also taught his craft at the Antons Art Center in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.  Both birds have raised primaries and the paint detail on this pair is remarkable.  Every feather on the drake is finely detailed and the blending on the hen adds to its realism.   Both birds have the tiniest, almost imperceptible rubs to the end of the bill.  These would be the centerpiece of any decorative collector’s shelf.  Both decoys measure 12-1/2” long; (D) 5-1/2”, (H) 5” wide; and 5-1/4” tall.  Please ask questions or for more pictures.  Shipping includes insurance and is higher outside of the USA.   Thanks for looking.
