REAR DARKFEATHER FREEDMAN LABRADOR DUCK DECOY PAIR - OP - GREAT CONDITION

Description

Here is a Extremely Rear Pair (Set of 2) of Great Condition 1850's style Labrador Duck Decoy Pair by the famous Darkfeather Freedman from Michigan. Each are in great condition with very minor wear paint wear, each solid white cedar body's, each all original paint, each all original steel tack eyes, each signed by maker with maker personnel stamp Darkfeather (see photos for condition). Important Note - There were ONLY 4 sets made of this Pair of Decoys by Darkfeather and given to his closest friends many years ago, year carved and given out is unknown. This was formerly from the X Gary Ross Collection.
Each Decoy Dimensions: 9 1/2" long x 5" wide X 5 1/2" high bottom to top of head
Darkfeather Freedman is part Native American Indian from the Blackfoot Tribe, born in 1953, living in Michigan all his life, while hunting and fishing by Saginaw Bay finding a decoy by Ben Schmidt, decided to start carving. Started about 30 years ago carving decoys for self hunting use, family & friends. Very sought after decoys to this date.
