Extremely RARE Sammy Hunt Hand Carved Greater Scaup Duck Decoy - Sammy Hunt Was a Legendary Barnegat Bay Sneakbox Builder, Musician, Instrument Builder and Baymen.
This decoy, most likely the only one you'll ever find, is inscribed on the bottom by Mr. Hunt. He was more famous for building Sneakboxes then decoys. I have been told that this is a working decoy most likely carved by Mr. Hunt for use in the Barnegat Bay.
Decoy measures 12 1/2" long. In addition to "Hunt" carved in the bottom of the decoy, there is a tag attached indicating "Sammy Hunt Waretown NJ.
