Excellent fully refurbished camera from the USA's foremost experts in Polaroid: Brooklyn Film Camera. I purchased this camera fully refurbished in Feb 2020, thinking I would use it more than I have. I don't use it enough to justify keeping it around, so I am hoping to find a new home for it.
BFC's staff was trained by Polaroid on all aspects of the SX-70 and are without doubt the best in the business.
This particular camera was refinished in new, black leather and includes the famous "Sonar" auto-focus system.
Everything works exactly as it should. I sent the camera back to BFC for a check-up in June 2020, and it was returned with a 100% bill of health. Both the original warrant card and the service record from June 2020 are shown in the photos.
Comes with a neck strap and an Amazon case that works perfectly with the camera.
Full disclosure: There are a few tiny dimples in the leather on the viewfinder. See the photos.
BFC charges 5 for this same camera, but are currently sold out. I've priced this particular camera below that price, but appropriate to its value and to the fact that it is a completely refurbished essentially new camera (not a thrift store or estate sale find that may or may not work). If you want an excellent SX-70 Sonar, this is the camera for you.
