    This booster check valve prevents the vacuum from flowing backwards.  The Power Brake Check Valve gets brittle with age and ends up cracking allowing unwanted airflow.  Reverse airflow is often the source of a bad booster check valve. This Power Brake Check Valve just pops off and is re-placed in seconds. If you are rebuilding an original booster this is a must have.
